My name is Amanda Marjorie Wilton. I love Jesus Christ, but wanna love Him more. I am married to the fantastic and amazing Dan Wilton, and together we live in Peoria, IL, with our super cute kiddos. Their names are Michaela and Boaz. (More on their names later). Oh, and there’s also our furry baby, Maverick, a nine-year-old golden retriever. So, I’m a mom and a wife. I’m also a daughter, sister, aunt. I’ve been a Public Relations guru of sorts, a newspaper journalist, a non-profit fundraiser, an event planner, a teacher, and now I work at a school watching over the building. I’ve traveled hither, thither and yon. I’ve made puh-lenty of mistakes, and am using this “middle-aged” phase of my life to learn from them and try not to make that many more. (34 is considered middle age, right? I’m definitely past my quarter-life crisis…but I want to live longer than 60. So maybe not quite middle aged. Anyway, I digress). I have recently been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Disease and a severe food allergy to milk and eggs. This diagnoses was an impetus for me to share the ups and downs Jesus has brought me through. I don’t really have anything figured out, but like I said I’ve made lots of mistakes. And Jesus is using what I thought was just crummy for His infinite good. I want to tell you about that.
